Parkwise ("we", "our", "the app") is a theme park planning app developed by Joe Reynolds. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Account details: If you create an account, we collect your name and email address (or the profile information shared by Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In).
• Trip preferences: Travel dates, selected parks, party size, and planning preferences you enter in the app.
• Feedback: Any text or screenshots you submit through the in-app feedback form.

b) Information collected automatically

• Location data: With your permission, we access your device location to provide live park features such as nearby attraction wait times and weather updates. Location is only used while the app is active or when background location is enabled for in-park notifications. We do not track or store your location history.
• Usage analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used (e.g. which screens are visited). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

c) Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect payment or credit card information. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
• We do not use tracking technologies (no ATT, no ad identifiers).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalised trip itineraries using AI.
• To provide live wait times, weather alerts, and ride recommendations when you are at a park.
• To sync your trip plans across devices when you are signed in.
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

3. Third-Party Services

Parkwise uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud data storage, analytics, and cloud functions. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI-powered itinerary generation and chat assistant. Prompts are processed via our secure cloud functions; your personal data is not sent to Anthropic. Anthropic Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security

Your trip data is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. If you use the app without an account, your data is stored locally on your device only.

5. Your Choices

• Location: You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. The app will continue to work without it, but live park features will be unavailable.
• Account deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile tab in the app, or by emailing us.
• Notifications: You can disable all notifications in iOS Settings or selectively in the app's Profile tab.

6. Children's Privacy

Parkwise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
